...I've had my account for some time now, but only recently would have liked to organize it to my convenience. I have folders set up. But I have noticed that there are people and websites that are e-mailing me that I have not authorized to contact me and even though I have a bulk folder, certain accounts are allowed in my inbox, where I want only family, friends, and authorized sites to contact me. And I have also noticed that there are places that I wanted to contact me that have been sifted directly into the bulk folder. How do I fix my account to have the emails I want going STRAIGHT to my inbox, the advertisements go to the BULK box, and the emails I don't want to contact me at all, to never contact me again? Please not that I went to the options menu, and I clicked on the option to block emails, but they are asking for the domain names and I don't know them because different sites and people are contacting me from different places.

Go to options and click filters.

There you can make filters that shunt e-mail from your family and friends to a folder. It wont be your inbox, but it will make it so that you have a place with ONLY emails from family and friends.
