I bought domain names on Godaddy but my hosting is on other sites & I'm not sure how to connect the two.
How do you connect DNS servers to hosting accounts?
You must take the following steps,
1. Log onto your go daddy account and go to control panel and then click at the box shown just before your domain name click at that and then click at name server tab which is generally located above this in go daddy.
2. Once you see the name servers change them in such a manner that it points to your server. For example if the default name server shown there are ns1.godaddy.com and ns2.godaddy.com ... change them for example ... if you were hosting with me to ns1.numerouno-hosts.com and ns2.numerouno-hosts.com and then ask your host to create an account on his Web Host Manager and you are done.

log into you godaddy account.
there will be a link to set your DNS servers. (these settign should have been provided to you by your HOST.
Enter in the primary and secondary DNS server addresses as provided by your hosts and you are good to go.
it may take up to 72 hours for all the DNS servers to replicate, so you may have problems resoving to your new server until then.
