Please note my DOMAIN is REGISTERED with NAMECHEAP.com and homestead has the following instructions but I don't know how to go about it.
Step 1: Contact your current domain provider or registrar and request the following records be added to the domain "zone file" associated with your domain.
CNAME RECORDS
FOR WEBSITE PACKAGES:
www.exampledomain.com = THIS CNAME RECORD SHOULD POINT TO = websites.homestead.com
A NAME RECORDS
Have *.exampledomain.com point to the IP address: 209.157.71.50
Have @.exampledomain.com point to the IP address: 209.157.71.50
How do I point my domain to my Homestead website?
Threw a domain registrar like the company that you bought your domain from you can only create an A record. An A record is a "DNS" Domain Name Service record that points a certain URL like "www.myname.com" to a unique IP address. I assume your Homestead website does not have a unique IP address but is just a part of a sub domain. A quick solution would be to create your own web server with its own IP address. Point the A record to that IP address. Then on your own server you could just forward all HTTP requests to your Homestead website.

Does Homestead even offer that service?
My guess OTTOMH is that they DON'T.
If they do, it would be covered in their help or faq sections.
