I noticed better buy prices on Sedo but GoDaddy seems more well known. What to do?
Do you think it's better to sell domain names on Sedo or GoDaddy? Explain.?
Godaddy is a joke for the domain after market! I register with them but that is about it.
Their appraisals are absolutely horrible...they arppraised one name at $80.00-$380 and it sold for $25,000 And this was a popular computer term-6 letter .com And I had another appraised with them and again a low low figure... $250-$890. I had Sedo appraise the same name and it came in with a high of $129,000. I am currently in negotiations with a company at $150,000 on this name. It is a very popular global warming term.
I have all my names listed with Sedo and Moniker, but I get more traffic and inquiries with my own marketing, IE: for sale sites with excellent meta tags.
Go to the link below to see what domains are selling for this month.

Listing a domain for sale at Sedo is completely free and only takes a few moments. Just sign up for an account and then add your domains and the details of your offer. We鈥檒l email you as soon as you receive an offer. You also have the option to initiate an auction which raises the level of competition.
Sedo operates on a commission basis, so you are only charged if we successfully find a buyer for your domain (10%), and this fee includes Sedo's secure escrow service (including sending the payment to you via Paypal or Wire Transfer).
By attracting end-user domain buyers, Sedo is able to get a much higher price for your domain than you would be able to get elsewhere. You are also not obligated to exclusively list your domain through Sedo, just as long as when your domain is sold, and if it is sold elsewhere, you remove it form your Sedo account to eliminate buyer confusion.

Stephanie
