this filter only holds 500 addys/domain names, and as soon as it was full, I started getting a lot more spam. I have emailed CS at Yahoo *7* times to ask, and they can not answer the question... which is kinda shocking, but only kinda based on past experience with them. I even wrote the answers for them, and just said pick "A" or "B", but they still couldn't do it. That probably confused them even more- OMG! a choice!!! Anyway, wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem?
thanks!
Do you get more spam once your "blocked addresses" filter is full in basic Y! mail?
you can actually call Y! CS and ask to speak with a manager. I have done this when I have had a similar problem to yours and can't get an answer via email. Their number is on the help page somewhere. For the time being, I would just thin out some of the names in the filter, as they were probably only for one time use, anyway.
Good luck!

No. Using address blocking won't cut down on the amount of spam you receive because spammers don't use real email addresses. They generate multiple fake addresses each day so by the time you've blocked one address, they're already using a different one.
As long as you have SpamGuard activated, that's the best you can do.
Edit: Do have SpamGuard Plus? It has a resettable filter. If that's what you're referring to, I think the limit is to encourage you to reset the filter occasionally. As more addresses become outdated, the filtering algorithm becomes less and less effective, to the point of uselessness.
