it will be a new machine joining an exsisting network. the domain names and general exchange setting are rather confusing.
Can someone point out a link or explain how to connect a PC to an exchange 2003 server?
Adding a PC to an exchange server is not something that should be done even by power users of PC's. You should be an admin type and understand domains and be trained on Exchange.
I say this not in a deameaning way, but its for the best.
Messing up Exchange settings can take down a companies email in a less then 5 minutes.
Given that warning, here is the link for all that you seek.

If you are not the administrator you may not be able to do it at all. New computers can be blocked from joining a domain by anyone other than an admin. You will also need the pop and smtp info of the server to put into Outlook
