I operate online businesses so in theory, I'm dealing with people all over the world. I registered my domain name as a trademark here in Canada but I am planning on incorporating offshore (Cayman Islands, Panama, Caribbean etc.), I just haven't picked a location yet.
Is it necessary to register the trademark in the U.S, the U.K and any other major market that I'm dealing with?
Also, what happens if someone in the U.S or U.K registers the trademark before I can? Does owning the trademark in Canada prevent this from happening? I would assume not ..
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.
Multi-Location Trademark Registration .. is it necessary?
Techincally I would believe that since you already own the trademark you shouldn't have to purchase it elsewhere in the world it's yours.... however i would do some research on google about that
