I recently used name.com to search for the registration status for a unique domain name that I wanted to register. Two days later name.com is now the registrant of that domain name. I have searched for other instances of this and it seems that name.com has made this a profitable regular practice.
How can NAME.COM LLC be stopped from stealing unique domain names?
You have no right to blame them, my friend. Because in the internet world, domain names are sold like hot cakes.
Once you like a name which is available by your luck, you have to register it there and then.
Good luck next time.
Vera.
