I'm thinking of registering a domain name and would like to know how yahoo losses the www and replaces it with eg uk.yahoo.com can I buy a .com domain then at no extra cost put the prefix etc... I'm a noob at this but just wondering how to avoid registering every suffix under the sun
I notice that microsoft just uses .com/uk/.... is this a cheap way to?
Domain address's / registration re prefix and suffix?
simple, you need to purchase the domain, with a company who allows you to have sub domain,(free hopefully) you then register your sub domain, www.sdhinternet.co.uk 1.99 per month and you can have sub domains as well
Domain address's / registration re prefix and suffix?
Whenever you see something like http://uk.yahoo.com, that is a subdomain. Most hosting providers give you an X amount of free subdomains that you can create as well for free.
