i currently just bought a hosting site (siteground) for my photography and i already have a domain name at AOL My eAddress and i can't figure a way to transer the domain name to siteground. I heard that aol is really bad with things like that and its even hard to cancel your service. what should i do?? i dont know how to fix the problem. i really need the domain name from the aol account that i have but it is refusing to let use it.

You need to unlock your domain inside the AOL account and you would want to start a domain transfer inside your siteground account.

You have to provide your domain鈥檚 authorization code for this to work but they should take care of everything for you once you provide them that. The authorization code should also be on the AOL account.

you have to unlock the domain before transfer, after you unlock it ask the new place to transfer and request it, then go back to aol and approve the transfer request and wait about 1- 48 hours and the domain should be transfered.

AOL is horrible for EVERYTHING.

Cancel take your losses and carry on.
