How do i get people to join my standard servers and my dedicated servers. I have looked through every forum and have found nothing on how to change firewalls and routings. I know it has to be simple! I've disabled my firewalls but i still can't get anyone to come through to play. People have tried to join but it rejects them... What do i have to do? plz give me the steps that it takes to do this task. Thanx o.. and also i have DSL>>>>1365 kbs download and 643 kbs upload.

I assume you are using Windows XP.

What is your PC's IP address.

* Start

* Control Panel

* Network Connections.

You should see something labeled. LAN or Local Area Network.

* Right click on it

* Select Status.

* Click the Support tab.

If IP address is like 192.168.x.x then you are behind a router.

If not then skip to "The PC"

And you will likely see a Default Gateway of 192.168.x.1 or 192.168.x.254.

You will need to use DMZ or Port forwarding.

You will need to the login username and password for the router.

You can usually connect to the router with the following link.

http://192.168.0.254/ Replace the numbers with the ones listed for your Default Gateway.

DMZ is the easiest way. But it opens that computer directly to the internet. Bypassing the router as a firewall.

You need to allow it to recieve the incoming connections.

The quick way: Completely disable any and all firewall software.

NOT Recommended except to troubleshoot.

Better method: Allow the program access to the internet through the firewall software. Allow the servers needed ports through the Firewall software.
