I have worked at this resturant for over two years.....i am a seinor server. I have dedicated myself to her bussness. Now since i needed time off to look after my sick son and since the kitchen superviser hated me because I stoped his sexual advances and one other server has her head stuck so far up the bosses a$@ , they have lied and gotten me into so much truble. I am good at my job and the customers love me....It hurts to be treated this way.

to answer your question, if you are in an at will state, they can do what ever they want. they do not have to have a reason to fire you.

service jobs are a dime a dozen, good servers are hard to come by. take your abilities to another restaurant. it will suck to start back at the bottom of the ladder, but you know how it goes, before long you will have seniority again and be able to get the schedule you want again. no one likes to work in a hostile environment. if your in the Sacramento California area, I've got an opening for a good server at the restaurant i work in and know of other restaurants looking for good servers.
