Since I am new to making websites, but I have some ideas, I would like to start out with a free web host and see how I do.

My question is, is it possible to make money using a free site?

I want to do something like basic membership and VIP membership. Is that possible?

I would definitely be willing to pay for a web host in the future, I just want to get a handle on all this first. If I have to I will start out with a cheap site, like $5-10/year, which I have seen.

I am always leary about doing business on a website on a free host site.

If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don't go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.

If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
