I am currenlty using yahoo web hosting. I am in the process of setting up a member only website. Basically I have a e-bay store and I offer personalized services. So once a customer buys a service, I will e-mail them a user id & password. I have no idea on how to this. I also want to know if its possible to have the account expire within one month of purchase.

You did not say what tool you are using to build your website. You can build a feedback box or contact box on home page and direct reply to a e-mail address, after receiving e-mail giving customer info then they go back to home page and enter ID and password into another box that is set to open website by linking to other pages.
