I need a program for my business that will allow my clients to edit their websites after I have finished building them in Dreamweaver. I know everyone doesn't have DW so if there are any ideas or if someone knows? I use to design sites with yahoo site builder but you had to get hosting w yahoo. I am selling my own hosting now and yahoo doesnt allow sites built on sitebuilder to be hosted by another ftp.
Any ideas?
thanks-pd
Is there a wysiwyg progrm that would allow me to build my clients wbsites w Dreamweaver and let them edit it?
No, thats kinda the point of dreamweaver...
I edit peoples sites with notepad after they have someone create it in dreamweaver, but for any real changes, I have to fire up DW.
Also the buttons and such are only understood by the dreamweaver software, so you are truely locked into that progam...
Sadly that also includes the NVU program shown above, you cannot edit a dreamweaver button with it =(

Use NVU. http://www.nvu.com/

Adobe (formerly Macromedia) has a companion program called Contribute that would do the job. I think it's a bit expensive (without educational pricing), but you could include it in the price of your design (for each client), and then you use Dreamweaver to set it all up so they can use Contribute to edit. They don't have to learn any of the complexities of DW, and they can only edit part of the page(s) to which you give them access.
Hope this helps!

Well, when you're creating a web presence for a client that wishes to edit their own website, the usual way for them would be for you to install a CMS, a Content Management System, which is what most professional web designers/developers do for their clients. They are usually available within the CPanel of their hosting account.
I don't know of any professional website designer that uses sitebuilder to create web pages. It's usually for people that don't know anything about HTML or coding.
