Ive been using mozilla software since the days of Netscape in Windows 3.11. Ive always wondered how it works. They've hosted the production of the bext browser on the planet and they give it away. (not that Im complaining). Any ideas what an open-source business model looks like? I understand that their partnership with google has netted them heaps but how did it work before this ?(their browsers haven't always had search engines built in)

Its all about the advertising. How many people do you think visit that site on a daily basis?
