Have a home computer with following configuration:
no router / network, webster external modem provided by ISP, XP SP2, broadband internet connection fom Hathway, static ip is 60.243.205.47, IIS configured (localhost, 127.0.0.1 and 60.243.205.47 are working fine in my browser)
if i ping from other places it simply says "timed out" error
http://network-tools.com/default.asp?pro...
you can see the ISP details: http://network-tools.com/default.asp?pro...
at the same time netmeeting & remote desktop are working fine. in IIS set up the static ip for 80 port, in my browser it working, but if i try from some other places not working..
Actually i am trying to configure a home webserver..through which my client can see his ASP.NET project without hosting.
can you guide me ?
Thanks in advance.
Static IP is not able to ping from internet ?
Check to see if you have incoming ping disabled.
DO NOT GIVE YOUR IP ADDRESS EVER AGAIN!
PLEASE!
It's like your home address. Also could you provide your credit card number, SSN, full name, and mothers maiden?
I need it to answer your question properly.
Be careful not to give your info.
